About

I have been working as a psychotherapist, leader and educator for 10 years. Most of my work in that time has been within prison systems and custodial settings with children and young adults within Victoria. The relationships and connections that I have made with young people within those 10 years have been deeply sustaining and formative to my approach in my private practice.

I have specialised in supporting women and men through processing sexual violence and trauma, and have embedded strong therapeutic relationships in order to create safety and regulating practices to support people through critical moments of dysregulation and emotional upheaval.

Alongside my experience with mental health and trauma, as a holistic psychotherapist I am deeply committed to supporting people through their personal journey of self-discovery and self-awareness to find their own resilience and sense of self. I integrate holistic techniques that honour the interconnectedness of mind, body, and spirit, fostering a comprehensive approach to wellbeing. With a trauma-informed approach, I create a safe and nurturing environment where you feel empowered to explore and process experiences at your own pace.

I am at heart, deeply committed to my own growth and healing. Through encouraging my sense of playfulness, creativity, and appetite for learning, I continually challenge myself to connect with and explore all facets of myself to allow me to better connect with the world around me.

The Therapeutic Relationship

In my practice, the therapeutic relationship serves as the cornerstone of our work. Everyone’s story is unique, and it is within the therapeutic relationship that safety is established to explore the stories that make us. With a deep commitment to empathy, respect, and trust, the therapeutic relationship becomes the safe container for personal growth and exploration to begin.

My desire in the work that we do is to create an environment that models healthy boundaries, healthy communication, and safe challenge, in order to demonstrate emotional safety within relationships. This approcah provides regulating and healing benefits to our bodies in the moment, and also builds self-confidence and self awareness enabling you to create similar safe relationships in all other aspects of your life.

What is Transpersonal?

Transpersonal art therapy and counseling represent holistic approaches that delve beyond traditional psychological frameworks, embracing the spiritual, transcendent, and interconnected aspects of human experience. In transpersonal art therapy, the creative process becomes a powerful tool for exploration and expression, tapping into the deeper layers of the psyche and facilitating profound self-discovery and transformation. Through painting, drawing, sculpting, and collage, we explore inner landscapes, symbols, and archetypes, transcending verbal limitations to access deeper levels of consciousness.

Similarly, transpersonal counseling integrates traditional therapeutic techniques with spiritual and mystical perspectives, recognizing the inherent interconnectedness of mind, body, and spirit. This approach emphasizes the exploration of existential questions, meaning-making, and the pursuit of self-actualization, guiding individuals towards a greater sense of wholeness, purpose, and spiritual fulfillment.
